Why we are here

We have made it our responsibility and purpose to help people live healthier lives. But health today is more than an absence of illness – being healthy also means being fit and happy. This means we need to consistently strive to be a better business.
Socially, environmentally and financially, we act responsibly in all our markets. Our shared values unite us with a real sense of pride, so we deliver better products and sustainable results while making a positive social and environmental impact.

What we stand for

This is us – we shape living for the better. The purpose is underpinned by four core drivers: Responsibility, Entrepreneurship, Achievement and Partnership. The drivers guide our behaviors, give direction to our strategies, and convey the core of how we behave as a company.

Responsibility: Doing the right thing, even when it’s hard

Honesty, sustainability and integrity are at the heart of everything we do. They motivate us to do the right thing, even when it is hard, and they ensure that the wellbeing of our planet and the health and safety of our partners, stakeholders, customers,… are always our priority.

Entrepreneurship: Having the courage to disrupt the status quo

Entrepreneurs use their imagination, creativity and passion to turn ideas into action. They find effective new solutions with limited resources and champion bright ideas irrespective of who thought of them. Entrepreneurs add value. At A1 our entrepreneurs make our businesses better. We couldn’t be who we are without them and we respect and reward them for having the courage to disrupt the status quo and do things differently.

Achievement: Being your best and pushing for better

Achievement is more than success. It is about trying and failing and learning. It is about thinking new and never settling. And it is about giving it your best, being always curious and then reaching higher, pushing to be even better – what we call “outperformance”. We see opportunities where others see problems and make things happen; it’s central to our success and we recognize and reward it.
